Snow Day

These past two days Seattle has been encased in snow.  It is beautiful, and it has also provided me with some unexpected – but extremely welcome – time to work on gear.  I’m making paddle covers similar to Tracy’s, so our paddles can double as tarp poles during our travels. I’m also making a pair of supplex pogies, because there are times when it’s cool and wet so that some kind of protection for hands is needed, but neoprene turns too quickly into a sauna.  I’ve been considering lightweight, unlined pogies for some time.  These will be ready to test when the snow disappears…
